Bronco BEAM

Project Overview

According to a recent survey, 1 in 3 students experience food insecurity during their time in college. Our team created an app called Bronco BEAM to combat this problem on the Boise State campus and beyond. The app, which notifies students about free leftover food near them, was piloted on the Boise State campus in Fall 2019 and was downloaded by over 1,000 students, feeding up to 30 people per event. Now we are expanding the app to include other features such as campus tours for prospective students.
